Machines for filtering sugar solutions containing solids in suspension, and using bleaching agents such as powdered carbon (in concentrations up to 65°Brix and at temperatures up to 85°C), or for fine filtering or for safety purposes prior to bottling.
This type of filter is used for two different types of filtering process, with filtering areas up to 60 m².:
– PROCESS FILTERING: for filtering primary solutions using a precoat
– RETRIEVAL FILTERING: for filtering the cake discharged from the kieselgur filters, retrieving the residual liquid and its sugar content so that the kieselgur can be reused in the process after it has been dehydrated.
